There was a point in time that I thought I was going to be tired forever. It just felt like my fatigue was never going to let up. I could only be up and about for about 15 mins before wishing I was back in bed resting away. At work, I would slip away during lunch to snooze in the park during lunch so that I could just about make it through the rest of the day. It was that bad!
The first trimester was definitely a ‘trying’ time though I do consider myself real lucky to not have had to suffer any nausea, morning sickness or cravings. And the baby is healthy! All I had was the chronic fatigue, bloatedness and breakouts. I thought I was going to have to suffer through it all until the end of the pregnancy but the symptoms have started to ease off slightly lately . The breakouts are still prevalent but I’ve had it for more than 3 months now and a few more months ain’t going to hurt and they’ll go once the bub is born right? It’s not like my skin was super smooth and perfect before anyway.
I’m feeling excited now that I’m starting to get my energy back. We met up with friends today for brekkie and it was so nice to be out and about, even if the weather was grey. We were seated near the kids play area at the cafe and it was a little jarring seeing all these kids now with a different pair of eyes – knowing we’re going to have a kid of our own pretty soon and in a few years, we will be those parents!
