On our way back to Sydney, we decided to hang out in London for a day before heading home. It’s almost a tradition as because of the way the train system works in the UK, there is no direct train from Whitstable to Heathrow and we’ll have to swap over in London. It makes for the perfect excuse to spend a few days in London.

What We Did
We spent the morning checking out Tate Modern. If you love modern art, the museum is a great place to spend a couple of hours. What I like about Tate Modern is that the artwork on display are not limited to just art on the wall, there are also sculptures or light works and even art outside of the museum. You can be walking aimlessly and you will still find something that will grab your attention.
Take a Stroll Around
It doesn’t matter where you are really in London, there is always something to see. We decided to explore the area we were in after finishing up at the Tate Modern and walked across the Millennium Bridge towards St Paul’s Cathedral.
I love shopping so no visit to London is complete without a visit to Oxford Street for me.
Where We Ate
Borough Market is one of London’s oldest food market. It is an amazing place to go if you love food. You will be able to find all kind of cuisines there from paella to patisseries. Make sure you check the opening times as they are only open to the public on certain days!
