My most memorable memory of bo.lan was that we walked out after our meal completely and utterly stuffed to the brim. The most full we have ever felt. We both felt like stuffed meat with no room to move or even breathe – we ended up walking the 20 minutes back to our hotel just to try digest some of our meal.
It was our 45 month anniversary and I completely forgot about it. Yeah, we’re mushy like that. We like to acknowledge each month. It’s become like a contest between the two of us to see who remembers and it’s quite embarrassing because Ryan remembers it EVERY single month and I never seem to be able to. 🙁
The ambiance at the restaurant was dark and romantic. Because we were one of the first ones to arrive, we had the pick of the couple’s tables. I, as usual, couldn’t make up my mind but finally settled for the corner one looking out into the courtyard.
… which was more like petit gazillion. We were gobsmacked when we saw them. We were mentally preparing ourselves for a petit four dessert, like a tiny portion and when this came out. Somehow, I think we did very well even if we didn’t finish every piece. We had a bite of every single one. 🙂
And a nice picture of us at the end of the night all blissed out!
