We’re not usually one for checking out the latest in thing but whilst researching for our trip, Walrus and Carpenter popped up countless of times at various places and we thought maybe we should just check the place out and see what the fuss is all about. It turned out to be one of our best meals in the whole of our trip there. Oh, how I longed to be back there again!
We chose to sit up at the bar and it was really cool seeing on one end of the bar, the guys making the drinks and on the other end of the bar, shucking oysters and making the other dishes. Best seats in the house, I reckon!
We ordered 2 dozen of their oysters, the grilled sardines and the steak tartare which was what was recommended. Ah-Maz-Ing! Everything was delicious! I would never picked sardines as my favorite ingredient but that dish was hands down pretty incredible. I can find no other words to describe it and that is a lot coming from me. I think they’ve converted me to sardines now.
It was our last meal in Seattle and t’was the perfect ending!
